Rachel Morse

The next four years will be a critical time for Chugach Electric as we work to acquire ML&P, incorporate more sustainable sources of power and negotiate economic dispatch and the formation of unified system operator with our fellow Railbelt utilities.

In January 2018, I was honored to be appointed to the vacancy left by board member Janet Reiser. After four months of service, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the work accomplished at Chugach and  what it means to be a board member. It’s challenging to keep up with all the information, decisions and initiatives in this utility, but it is always interesting and board members are well supported to take on our responsibilities. I come to board meetings prepared and strive to be a thoughtful and effective participant. I take advantage of the educational opportunities offered. I am very proud to be part of the Chugach team and care greatly about our ability to continue to provide reliable, affordable and ever increasingly sustainable power.

I’d like your support to continue to serve this great cooperative. You can find out more about me by reading my candidate statement on the Chugach website or visiting my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Morse4Chugach/

Thank you!
